Fabric, strawberry thief, William Morris, black-grey

This very thin fabric, made of 100% Italian cotton, is suitable for dollhouse textiles and miniature crafting.

The English artist William Morris (1834-1896) was a famous textile designer and poet. Perhaps his most well-known design is this bird-themed 'strawberry thief', the first version of which was printed already in 1883. He drew inspiration from the thrushes in his own kitchen garden, which ate berries from the strawberry patch.

The fabric is available in wonderful different colors, and the size of the fabric pieces varies somewhat. This black-grey fabric piece measures approximately 34 x 28 cm.

Cotton fabric, weight 76g/m2, wash at 40 degrees Celsius.
