Lighting

Lighting turns a small dollhouse into a home. Lights create atmosphere and add a sense of reality to miniature models.

The traditional way is to equip the house with 12V electric lights, which operate via a transformer connected to the mains. Almost all 12V lamps have replaceable bulbs, so the solution is long-lasting. The lamps are elegant and are particularly suitable for 1:12 scale assemblies, but some models are also suitable for smaller scales due to their size. The online store's blog has instructions for implementing electrification.

Another method, which is very popular these days, is to use battery-operated LED lights. They are easy to use and ready to use right away. However, check whether the package includes the battery or whether you have to buy one separately. This is always mentioned in the product description.

Many dollhouse enthusiasts combine different solutions and also make their own lighting using Minimaailma electrical accessories. It is often convenient to choose table and floor lamps that are battery-operated, which makes them easy to move and keeps electrical cords out of the way. On the other hand, in ceiling lights and wall lights, the cords of 12V electric lamps can be easily hidden.
